The following manuscript holds an overview of cybernetics from a personal perspective, including detailed sections on differences between the worldviews of cybernetics and artificial intelligence; entailment meshes as a knowledge representation scheme; and the architecture of conversations. It was written based on a presentation given at a conference of the American Society for Cybernetics in Vancouver, BC, Canada and, as such, may prove a difficult read without some familiarity with cybernetic concepts.
