Language is to Conversation as Air is to Breathing

I have three questions for today:

If we are interested in design,
    (1) WHAT ARE WE DESIGNING FOR?

And if we're designing for something,
    (2) HOW DO WE DESIGN FOR THAT?

    and,

    (3) WHAT ARE THE LIMITS OF OUR DESIGNING, AND OUR DESIGN?
Because if we don't talk about limits, we're won't know how we can get "screwed".
