28: Adding non-Intraspect recipients to a discussion

Imagine that some of your team members are not Intraspect users

Intraspect makes it easy to include both Intraspect and non-Intraspect Discussion Recipients. Intraspect Discussions can distribute new messages to anyone with an Internet e-mail account. In addition, users can participate from their browser or their e-mail client.

With Discussion Recipients defined, choose OK to enable discussion
  1. On the lower-left side of the Edit People dialog (as per the previous scenario page), you will see the E-mail recipients outside of Intraspect field. For practice with this test discussion, enter your full Internet (non-Intraspect) e-mail address. Click on the Add button next to your entry. Note the change on the right.
  2. The identification of the Discussion Recipients is now complete. Choose OK to return to the New Discussion dialog.
  3. Notice that the Discussion Recipients appear in the lower-left corner of the New Discussion dialog. Refer to screen shot
  4. The discussion setup is now complete. Choose Enter. Refer to screen shot

Discussion Recipients are now fully defined and functional. Recipients, whether Intraspect users or not, get automatic copies of discussion messages through a kind of delivery service. The entire discussion is also archived in Intraspect
