Scenario: Getting Started with Intraspect
8: Collecting a Web page
You want to collect a Web page from the browser into Intraspect
Imagine that you need to collect a Web page to organize with your e-mail, and to share with your colleagues. To use Intraspect's knowledge management capabilities, you first collect the URL. |
- Use your browser to go to a Web page (using the URL from the e-mail that you collected, or any other of your choice).
- Select the Collection Bin by clicking anywhere on it.
- Move the cursor over the left-most button in the Collection Bin's toolbar. The tool tip describes its function.
- Choose the button to collect the Web page. The Collect Web Document dialog appears. An entry is shown for each open browser window. Check that the desired Web page is currently selected.
- For simplicity, choose Collect without modifying anything in the dialog. The Web page is copied to the Intraspect Server, as indicated by a dialog. If the page is large, this may take a little time.
- Notice the icon that appears next to the new entry in the Collection Bin, indicating that this object is a Web page.
Now you are ready to collect another object
